About Genome Engineering Laboratory
We pioneer cutting-edge tools and methods for genome editing in human cells, animals, and plants.
Taking advantage of these advancements, we develop novel treatments for incurable diseases such as mitochondrial
genetic disorders. In addition, we work on editing chloroplast DNA to enhance photosynthetic efficiency in plants,
with the goal of boosting crop yields and contributing to carbon neutralization in response to the climate crisis.
