The chloroplast genome encodes key genes essential for photosynthesis. We focus on editing chloroplast DNA to investigate the molecular mechanisms of photosynthesis in greater depth and to enhance photosynthetic efficiency in plants. These efforts are aimed at contributing to global initiatives for carbon reduction and food security in response to the climate crisis.
